Update on Hayden:First of all, thank you for all of the love & prayers! We feel it! We are home from the hospital. The neurologist that saw Hayden feels that Hayden has some sort of tic disorder, and that the extreme pain Hayden is experiencing is due to his brain sending misleading signals to the rest of his body (or in this case, neck, hands & feet). They do not feel an MRI is urgent, but he is scheduled for one on April 25th just to make sure they are not missing something. We were sent home with a mild Rx that is used in tic disorders, and told to ignore the complaints of pain as best as we could. They even said we should give Hayden "magic lotion" or anything that he feels would make him feel better. Today, we made a trip to the store, and in the car Hayden suddenly started crying out in pain again. We did the best we could to distract him, snacks, music, toys, "magic lotion", etc. but Hayden was absolutely in "pain". His whole body went stiff, and rigid. He holds his head all the way to the side as far as he can and makes horrible grimace faces and begs for help, asking us to make it stop. This is the most horrible feeling as a parent. As soon as we got out of the car, and had him walk around, he seemed to feel better right away but then a few min. later went into crying fits of pain again. It is almost like watching bolts come down his body and shock him. I called his doctor and after she consulted with the neurologist she gave us another RX of stronger meds that will Hayden right away and should stop the pain signals he is feeling. They also gave us Valium for emergency, in case we are unable to calm him down during these attacks. After the new medicine today, Hayden took a three hour nap and has not complained of pain at all. In fact, so far he is normal Hayden, and asking to play outside. We feel he has great doctors, and like many of you have said, Doernbecher Children's Hospital is amazing. We will continue to press on and due whatever it takes until we feel Hayden is ok. Please continue to keep him in your prayers, we know that God has special plans for this amazing little boy. Thanks again, We love you all!!! Scott & Jennifer
